Command and Conquer Levels Level Theme: The stolen Orbital Ion Cannon Level Number: 12 Level Name: Orbital Ion Cannon Created By: Tsuyoshi Kihara Release Date: 12 July 1996 Map information: Large (55x54), Temperate theater. Player: GDI Difficulty: Medium - Hard Filename: ORBITAL.ZIP File contents: scg12ea.ini scg12ea.bin mission.ini savegame.500 readme.txt Level replacement ----------------- This mission replaces the 12th GDI mission. There is no real reason behind this other than that it is easier for me to mess around. Mission Description ------------------- Level 1 ------- Critical transmission.. Plans and codes for the GDI Orbital Ion Cannon has been stolen from a remote GDI base, this mission is of upmost importance. Nod have already started experimening with the Ion Cannon and is attempting uplink. You must assault this base and destroy their equiptment and plans in the Technology Centre, there is a time limit to success in this mission.. Proceed to then kill everybody and destroy everything to minimise further risks Level Description ----------------- Level 1 ------- Ok, you have only 7500 creds, so build the minimum base as quickly as possible everything until after destroying the Tech. Centre is temporary. You need to build a few fast units to charge into the base, where they will meet their death. BUT remember you have the airstrikes, so as soon as you see the Tech. Centre, send it to outer space with your A10s... Then after that, strengthen your defences and brace for an assault, and getting loads of tyberium is critical. Usage ----- For those who don't want to bother messing around editing files, a savegame has been supplied that were taken the instant the level started. Simply copy these files (savegame.500) into your Command and Conquer directory (rename it if you don't want to lose one of your savegames). Then load that file when you start. You will not be able to restart the mission if you do this, you will have to re-load it if you need to try again. If you choose this method, you can ignore the next part. If you want something more complete, and yo want to be able to restart the level, then copy scg12ea.ini, scg12ea.bin, mission.ini, into your 'c&c' directory. I think that this will do it, if not, rename the scg12ea.bin to scg12ea.map and do it as it says in some other homemade missions. If you are a bit experianced and you want to mess around with the map, then the .bin file is the same as the .map file. Other Infos ___________ I have made a few missions now, and I am getting the hang of it except for one bit. I cannot get units or infantry to be made at the base, so I tend to use lots of reinforcements instead. I would be glad if someone could show me the procedure and the troubleshooting of making units.
